A back-to-basics practical workshop focused on safe and stable alignment for key yoga asana (poses). Receive hands-on adjustments and targeted verbal cueing with the intention of improving, enhancing and/or correcting postural misalignment.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, play with alternative anatomical cues and to receive carefully applied hands-on assists to see what works best for you in your individual body.
Who is this workshop for?
This all-levels workshop is for anyone who’s ever done a particular yoga pose and wondered, “Am I doing this right?” And since we’ve all asked that question at some point, this workshop is for every body!
Beginners will find this a good opportunity to ask questions about basic asana, while individuals with a longer practice will have a chance to tweak habitual misalignments or to receive more nuanced feedback to stabilise or deepen extension (for example).
Yoga teachers looking to incorporate hands-on assists into their classes might also find this a useful teaching tool!
Informed Consent
Your enrolment in this workshop entails your informed consent to receive hands-on adjustments from the facilitator. You are welcome to opt out at any time; opportunities will be made for opting-out throughout the workshop, but it is ultimately up to you - the practitioner - to communicate this to the facilitator.
Hands-on adjustments/assists will be given in a professional and respectful way, informed by the needs of the pose. The facilitator will NOT give assists designed to unnecessarily deepen someone into a pose beyond their end range as this poses the risk of injury.
