Yoga in Conversation Part I: Holding Yourself

  • Awhi Yoga & Wellbeing Level 2, 15 Johnston Street Wellington New Zealand (map)

Building on previous topics and discussions within the Yoga & the Emotions series, this two-part workshop explores the topic of challenging conversations as a step towards connection and healing.

Part I first explores conversations with the self, to develop awareness and unity between interconnected parts of who we are, such as the mind, heart, nervous system, and voice. When we are able to understand and hold ourselves, then we can better show up to a conversation with another the way we want to. Part II will then further explore such conversations. Please note that, while Part I and II are designed to complement each other, they are complete workshops separately. It is not necessary to attend both, though very welcomed.

This workshop draws on yogic principles and psychology to open group discussions, and also incorporates practical exercises to help build our understanding of self and our self-expression. It is co-facilitated by Megan Lawton and Dr Cherie Lacey.
