Mōna ake: he rongoā, he piki oranga, he piki wairua, he taonga ko te pū āio. He taonga anō ko te reo rangatira. Nā te tuitui haere o ēnei taonga e rua, ka hāngaia he āhuru mōwai, he wheako motuhake pai nei. Tēnā, nau mai, haere mai.
Hana Buchanan (Taranaki, Te Ātiawa, Taranaki Whānui ki te Upoko o te Ika) [ia/she/her] has been developing her own yoga / pū āio practice for over 25 years. She completed her 200-hour Vinyasa Flow and 100-hour Yin teacher training with AWHIi Yoga & Wellbeing, and is currently undertaking Meditation teacher training. Her journey to reclaim her indigenous language is ongoing and has been especially well supported by Te Wānanga o Raukawa (Heke Reo Māori), Te Wānanga o Aotearoa (Te Pīnakitanga ki te Reo Kairangi), ōna whanaunga me ōna hoa reo Māori, and the hapori reo Māori whānui oPōneke. Hana loves exploring the synergies between mātauranga Māori and yoga philosophies and practice - centuries old indigenous wisdoms supporting contemporary holistic wellbeing. Through teaching, she hopes to share the love, joy and challenge of yoga | pū āio with others.
