Spoken Word Poetry Reviews

“When I bring myself to the mat to do yoga, sometimes it's uncomfortable to hold certain poses, feeling the stretch, observing the mind.  Emma's poems for me are like that: each one stretching and encouraging new poses in the mind and spirit, in a held space of welcome curiosity and connection.   Each poem like a new asana; listening to her rhythmic words as I hold myself and observe my mind and the somatic experience.  Emma's poetry is both balm and fire - encouraging expansion and forging new pathways, asking: how can we be truly well, in this world, together?”

“As an international yoga teacher and woman of colour, Emma has a unique perspective to offer the yoga and spiritual community. Interwoven with reflections of Aotearoa and its cultural heritage, Emma offers a chance for the audience to feel and discuss our values and edges through what is an inspiring and creative experience.”
