Terms & Conditions
The fine print for classes, memberships, passes, vouchers, and training.
Bookings and classes
- Classes are booked through our booking platform (Momence). Advance booking is optional but recommended.
- We start on time: studio doors close at the start of class for the safety and comfort of everyone inside.
- Class timetables, teachers, and formats may change. We'll give as much notice as we can of any changes or cancellations.
Memberships
- Minimum commitment. Direct debit memberships require a 3-month minimum (minimum spend $414, or $330 concession). After that, your membership rolls month-to-month automatically.
- Cancellation. To cancel, email kiaora@awhiyoga.co.nz at least 14 days before your next payment date. Memberships cannot be cancelled before the 3-month minimum has been reached.
- Pausing. Pauses are available for a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks and a maximum of 8 consecutive weeks per 3-month contract. 14 days' written notice is required. No retroactive holds.
- Payments. Direct debit payments are processed automatically. Failed payments may result in booking access being suspended until the balance is settled.
Passes and drop-ins
- Prepaid memberships (6- and 12-month) and class passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- 10-class passes are valid for 6 months from purchase; casual passes are valid for 1 month from purchase.
Gift vouchers
- Gift vouchers are available in any amount, are non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise.
Teacher training and workshops
- Teacher-training enrolments are confirmed on payment of a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable except where a programme is cancelled by AWHI.
- Payment plans are available for some programmes; missing scheduled instalments may affect your enrolment.
- Workshop and event tickets are non-refundable but may be transferable — contact us before the event.
Health and safety
- Please tell us (and your teacher) about injuries, medical conditions, or pregnancy that could affect your practice. Practise within your own limits; you participate at your own risk.
- Heated classes are not recommended during pregnancy or for some medical conditions — ask us if you're unsure, and consult your health professional.
- We may ask anyone to leave the studio if their behaviour affects the safety or comfort of others.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AWHI is not liable for loss or damage to personal property brought into the studio, or for injury arising from failure to follow instructions or disclose relevant health information.
Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
