Vinyasa Jumping Workshop - The Art of The Float
Explore the mechanics behind floating forwards, jump-throughs and jump-backs in this technique-focused workshop. Through progressive drills and playful exploration, we will break down the foundations that make these transitions possible. Develop a deeper understanding of your practice and discover how strength, control and awareness can create lightness in movement rather than relying on momentum.
The workshop is ideal for vinyasa practitioners looking to deepen their existing practice and refine their transitions. Beginners are welcome, with drills and progressions to help build a strong foundation.
Techniques we'll explore:
Bandhas and Core Engagement - Understanding lift, lightness and control using the energetic and physical locks in the body.
Shoulder & Upper Body Strength - Building the stability to support your weight on your hands.
Hamstring Mobility & Compression - Creating space to draw the legs through.
Time on the Hands - Developing strength, balance and confidence in weight-bearing positions.
Transition Breakdowns - Progressive drills for floating forwards from down dog and jumping back to Chaturanga.
